I’m Ragib, A filmmaker and biologist who loves imagery, travelling, and science.
My goal is to document my life for my grandchildren. Teaching them about the world I live in today, it’s beauty, people, vastness, and also it’s challenges. I want to leave a legacy for them as I wish my grandparents would have done for me. There is so much I want to learn and share with them. The highs. The lows. Poetry. Food. Cars. Drawing. Feeling. Animals. DIY. Cameras. Mayonnaise. Everything.
If you would like to support my journey, you can follow along on instagram or youtube or by purchasing my products from this store.
Thank you for supporting me and my infinite interests :)

What’s in Ragib’s Camera Bag?
-
Main Camera
Sony 7Asiii
The Sony A7S III is a full-frame mirrorless camera that excels in low-light performance and video capabilities, making it an ideal choice for both professionals and enthusiasts.
I have shot documentaries, short films, tv commercials, and all my social media content on this lil guy. Save the money buying an FX3 and get this instead. You have the same sensor at a reduced price
-
Go to lens
Sigma 24-70mm f2.8
This stays on my camera about 70% of the time due to its versatility of shooting both wide and tight images while maintaining incredible autofocus.
As a solo filmmaker who doesn’t want to carry too much gear, this lens can be the only lens you keep in your backpack
-
Favourite lens
Sony 50mm f1.2
This is a bokeh monster and a lifesaver in lowlight. Paired with the A7siii, the autofocus is rapid and reliable
Have I already mentioned the bokeh? If you’re wondering how filmmakers’ images look buttery and creamy, it’s becuase they’re shooting at a low apeture like f1.2 or 1.4.
I love it
-
Travel Tripod
Innorel MT70 tripod
This has travelled with me everywhere. It’s reliable, sturdy and lightweight with a solid fluid head.
Although after a few years it is slowly getting a little looser and if I’m constantly travelling I will probably look into getting a more lightweight tripod that can still hold a heavy camera rig + has a quick release system like this does.
-
Go to microphone
Deity D3 V-mic pro shotgun mic
From voiceovers, interviews, short films, tv commercials - this has gone through it all
For the price, I am stil yet to use a better shotgun microphone that has a dedicated decibel dial, and great battery life, and exceptional audio quality.
I don’t have one complaint.
-
Vlogging mic
DJI mic mini 2
If I’m talking to the camera and travelling I’ll take this little guy with me. The audio quality although not as good as my Deity shotgun mic is still exceptional.
Battery quality is crazy, I can go about a week with moderate use and it’ll still have some charge left over.
It does come with a fuzzy deadcat but it seems to struggle in incredibly windy places, which is very common in the UK. Though in normal conditions I have no problem at all.
-
Travel Light
Yungnuo YN360
The Yongnuo YN360 is a versatile LED light want. The YN360 features RGB capability for a variety of colours.
It can be powered by an AC adapter or a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, enhancing its portability for mobile use. I take this with me on most shoots just to it’s brightness and ability to be rigged up anywhere.
-
Car Rig Suction Mount
Camtree G-51 Suction Mount
I use this for all my car rigging shots. The great thing about it is you can use just one of the suction mounts to easily mount your camera in the interior of your car too which I do often.
Very versatile and do recommend

Phone + Camera Monitor
iPhone XR + 15pro
Having used the iPhone XR for 7 YEARS I have finally upgraded to the 15 pro. The iphone XR is great for filmmaking, but the 15 pro definitely takes it to the next level, especially with Apply LOG.
I use apps to then monitor my image such as ‘Image Edge’ or ‘Monitor+’ app as I often shoot alone and use these apps to help compose my frames, remotely record. as well as adjust my camera settings without having to interact with my actual camera.

Everyday camera backpack
Lowpro fastpack BP250 AWII
This has been my main backpack for over the last 5 years. To this day, nothing has torn or ripped, it is incredibly rugged and reliable.
It is very roomy, Able to carry a camera, and at least 2 or 3 extra lenses, batteries, my laptop, and most importantly my lunch, a water bottle and a small fleece.
You can easily carry a lightweight tripod too
